Well, the only good thing about being sick is an abundance of “free time” & no distractions. I just finished a sweater project (whoo!) – Cozy V-neck pullover from Fitted Knits by Japel. Alas, I didn’t have enough yarn to do full length sleeves. I ended up with a tiny ball of yarn and a gauge swatch. Amazing.
I love the pullover. The next fun part? Weaving ends in. I love starting a project and I love finishing a project too. Finishing. Weaving ends in. I love it when I can’t find my ends after weaving them in. Sick I know.
So now I’m thinking about my next project. I got this book, Knit 2 Together, from Rebecca. (Say it again with me- WOW! I AM TOTALLY SPOILED). I’m not embarrassed to say that the book is now on my bed stand. I would flip through the book thinking about which projects I would so knit from the book. One project jumped out at me: Pimlico shrug.
Hmm. Could the shrug be my next “sweater project”? Do I even want to start a sweater project when I have a monster project (more details later), two sock projects, and a big lace project going on? Yes. Do I even care that I’ll be visiting my family for two weeks in December and that I may not be able to bring the sweater project with me? No.
So what shall I knit Pimlico shrug with? I’m thinking di Ve’ Zenith that I got a couple months ago. I may have enough for a small shrug but I figure that I can shorten the sleeves if necessary. Plus the yarn’s superwash so it will GROW like a weed when the shrug hits the water.
So I got a dilemma. Should I weave ends in or cast on for a Pimlico shrug?
